How it works

At the core of our work is the understanding that everything is connected—your body, mind, emotions, and even your external environment all influence how you feel and move. SI helps you release the restrictions that hold you back, so you can feel great in your body and live with more presence and ease.

We use three essential components:

  1. Myofascial Release Therapy – deep-tissue techniques to target the fascia, the connective tissue of the body. By releasing areas of tension and restriction, your body naturally realigns, helping to ease pain and restore a sense of balance, comfort, and fluid movement.
  2. Movement Education – brings greater awareness to your posture and movement habits helping to break old patterns that cause tension or misalignment. Simple, effective exercises are offered to maintain the newfound ease and fluidity in your body, supporting long-term change.
  3. Somatic Dialogue – This approach deepens your awareness of how emotional and mental states are reflected in your physical body, and vice versa. By recognizing the patterns that exist between your thoughts, emotions, and bodily sensations, you become empowered to make choices that support your overall well-being and create greater alignment in both body and mind.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Structural Integration?
Structural Integration combines hands-on bodywork that focuses on aligning the body through the fascia (connective tissue), movement education, and somatic awareness. It releases tension, improves posture, and creates more ease and balance in the body — a modality in a class of its own that leaves you feeling better than before.
What happens during a session?
We start with a conversation about how you feel, how you move, and any areas of discomfort. I assess your posture and movement patterns, then we work interactively — you won't just lie on the table. You'll be guided through subtle movements as I work, moving between the table, a chair, and standing, so we can access deeper layers of tension and explore how alignment feels in different postures. Before you leave, we reassess your posture and movement, and I may give you simple exercises to reinforce the work between sessions.
How much does a session cost?
Each one-hour session is $240. Unlike care where the practitioner spends only a few minutes with you, Structural Integration is a full hour of high-touch, one-on-one work focused entirely on you and designed to create lasting change — an investment in your long-term mobility, recovery, and performance. Climbing gym members receive a 15% discount.
Is Structural Integration covered by insurance?
Structural Integration is not covered by insurance, but you can use your FSA or HSA funds with a doctor’s note. I can help guide you through this process.
How many sessions will I need?
It varies with your goals. Many clients notice meaningful improvement after a single session, while deeper change often comes from a series. Some complete a structured 10-session series that addresses the whole body head to toe; others book as needed and continue with periodic tune-ups. We’ll create a plan that fits you.
How long is each session?
Each session is 60 minutes — enough time for thorough bodywork, movement education, and a dialogue about your mind-body connection.
How often are sessions scheduled?
Sessions run every Wednesday from 10am to 2pm. You choose the time that fits your schedule during booking.
What should I wear during my session?
Wear something you can move in that gives access to the body — many clients choose fitted or loose-fitting shorts with a sports bra, or gym shorts. Remove any necklaces, bracelets, and watches, and tie long hair back. Your comfort and privacy are always respected.
Is Structural Integration painful?
While the work is deep, the goal is never to cause pain — it’s to release tension effectively and comfortably. Communication is key, and we always work at a pressure that feels right for you.
What's your cancellation policy?
24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule without being charged. Appointments changed with less than 24 hours’ notice are charged the full session price. Cancellations are confirmed by email — if you don’t receive one, please contact maya@helloalignment.com right away.
