Myofascial Release Therapy in Brooklyn for People Who’ve Tried Everything

Feel Better, Move Freely, and Finally Get Relief with Structural Integration near Park Slope, Brooklyn

If you’re in pain, exhausted, or just feel off—but no one’s been able to help—you’re in the right place.

At Hello Alignment, we work with people who’ve tried physical therapy, massage, acupuncture, and everything else—without lasting relief. Using a hands-on method called Structural Integration (a combo of myofascial release therapy + movement education + somatic dialogue), we help your body unwind deep tension, reset your nervous system, and start working the way it’s supposed to.

Whether you’re a climber dealing with nagging injuries, a desk worker with constant tightness, or someone who’s just done being told “everything looks fine”—this work is for you.

What is Structural Integration?

A Hands-On Approach to Realign the Body and Relieve Long-Term Pain

Structural Integration (also called Rolfing or Hellerwork) works on your fascia—connective tissue that wraps around your muscles—to release stuck patterns, restore balance, and help your body move more freely.

Unlike massage, it doesn’t chase symptoms. It works on how your whole body is organized. Most people feel lighter, more open, and more themselves after just a few sessions.

Structural Integration isn’t just about bodywork —
it’s a full-body, movement-based approach to access your body’s potential.

Common Issues We Work With

  • Chronic tension or stiffness

  • Fatigue that won’t go away

  • Old injuries or climbing strain

  • Neck, back, or hip pain

If you’ve been told “just stretch more” or “you’re fine”—but you know something’s off—let’s talk.

How it works

At the core of our work is the understanding that everything is connected—your body, mind, emotions, and even your external environment all influence how you feel and move. SI helps you release the restrictions that hold you back, so you can feel great in your body and live with more presence and ease.

We use three essential components:

  1. Myofascial Release Therapy – deep-tissue techniques to target the fascia, the connective tissue of the body. By releasing areas of tension and restriction, your body naturally realigns, helping to ease pain and restore a sense of balance, comfort, and fluid movement.

  2. Movement Education – brings greater awareness to your posture and movement habits helping to break old patterns that cause tension or misalignment. Simple, effective exercises are offered to maintain the newfound ease and fluidity in your body, supporting long-term change.

  3. Somatic Dialogue – This approach deepens your awareness of how emotional and mental states are reflected in your physical body, and vice versa. By recognizing the patterns that exist between your thoughts, emotions, and bodily sensations, you become empowered to make choices that support your overall well-being and create greater alignment in both body and mind.

Hi, I’m Maya

Smiling woman with long brown hair wearing a turquoise sweater against a neutral background.

I’m a Board-Certified Structural Integrator, a lifelong movement junkie, and an avid climber based in NYC.

I discovered Structural Integration through my own journey of managing the aches and pains that are common for athletes, which only get worse as we age. SI is my swear-by.

I’m inspired by the infinite complexity and mystery of our bodies. Practicing Structural Integration has given me a deeper understanding of how we can unwind tension, move with greater ease, and feel great—not just physically, but emotionally and energetically too.
